The Overview

My journey with BMI Healthcare began towards the end of 2019. The company was acquired in mid-2020 by Circle Health Group. There were 2 initial objectives and targets as part of my role, the first and main objective was to assist in the transformation of the Learning Management System (LMS), which at the time was based on a highly customised version of Totara V9.

The second was to transform the way mandatory training compliance was reported throughout the organisation, which at the time was being generated and shared once a week through 10 various Excel spreadsheets.

I played a pivotal role in evaluating the LMS at the time, which I had also transformed by improving usability and user journeys, and drafting the organisation’s requirements for an updated LMS. I was a key stakeholder in the tendering process to identify an appropriate Totara partner for BMI Healthcare.

For mandatory training compliance, I built reporting dashboards using Power BI which allows Executives, Managers, and Learning Coordinators to easily access and share relevant compliance data, which is refreshed twice a day. This replaced the manual process of generating and sharing spreadsheets, created more efficiency, and saved the organisation at least 381 hours a year!
